Clear Bag Policy

Fans are permitted to enter with a clear bag that does not exceed 12″ in height by 6″ in depth by 12″ in width. A one gallon clear plastic bag, such as a Ziploc bag or anything similar, is acceptable.

Fans are allowed to carry in a small clutch bag, approximately the size of a hand or 6.5″ by 4.5″, with or without a handle or strap. Fans are still permitted to carry in items such as phones, wallets and approved cameras.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items for proper inspection. All bags are subject to search.

Guests are asked to return prohibited bags to their vehicles. Items should not be left outside of the venues.

Approved clear bags will be available at the Hanes Mall Deacon Shop, the on-campus Deacon Shop, the on-campus bookstore and DeaconShop.com.

Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions:

Are diaper bags permitted?

Diapers and non-medically necessary items for babies and young children must be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, would be allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the stadium.

Do I have to put everything I’m carrying into the permissible bags?

No. Fans are limited only to the type of bags carried into the stadium, not items that they may normally bring to a game that fit in pockets or clutch bags (e.g., keys, makeup, feminine products, comb, phone, wallet, credit cards). Fans may carry a blanket over their arms, and binoculars and/or camera around their necks or in their hands without the case. Fans may also use the clear bag and clutch to carry these items and other permissible items. Every member of the family may carry in a permissible bag.

How many bags can each person bring into the stadium?

One large clear bag—either a one-gallon Ziploc bag or the 12” by 6” by 12” clear bag—plus one small clutch per person. The larger clear bag must be a standard 12” by 6” by 12” made of clear PVC vinyl or plastic. Any logos on the bag must be small enough that the contents of the bag are clearly visible. The one-gallon Ziploc bag is readily available, inexpensive and easily searched. The small clutch allows privacy for small personal items and is also easily searched.

Can fans carry cameras, binoculars, smart phones or other approved items separately from what they put in a clear bag?

Yes. Binoculars, phones, or cameras can be carried into the stadium so long as they are not inside of a non-compliant bag. The clear bag policy is not a restriction on items that fans can bring into the stadium, it is only a restriction on the type of container used to carry items.

Are seat cushions allowed to be carried into the stadium:

Yes. They must be collapsible, no bigger than 16” wide, and do not have a metal frame or zipper.

Can I still bring in blankets?

Yes. Blankets will still be permitted. Fans will be able to bring blankets in by tossing them over a shoulder or arm so that they can be easily screened.

Bags that are NOT permitted under the Clear Bag Policy:

Backpacks (including clear), Binoculars case, Camera Bags, Cinch Bag, Computer Bag, Diaper Bag, Fanny Pack, Luggage, Mesh Bag, Oversized Tote Bag, Printed Pattern Plastic Bag, Purse, Seat cushion with back and metal frame, Tinted plastic bag, Zippered seat cushion.
